About Our Presentation

The Lenain Water Treatment Plant (Plant) Rehabilitation and Expansion Project in the City of Anaheim is currently under construction. The Plant is an integral water supply source for the City where it treats raw surface water imported from the Colorado River.

The current Plant has the rated capacity to supply up to 15 MGD of treated water annually, which is approximately 28% of the City’s total water supply. It has been over twenty five years since the Plant had any improvements and upgrades so rehabilitation is needed to replace aging and failing equipment and infrastructure. In addition, part of the overall improvement will include increasing the Plant’s capacity to treat water from 15 MGD to 20 MGD.

This month’s Industry Insight presentation will provide an overview of the process that takes place during the construction phase to implement rehabilitation and expansion of the water treatment plant and discuss the challenges and lessons learned throughout the process.

Plan now to attend. As one of the largest, and potentially one of the more critical projects ongoing in the County today, this presentation will explore some of the most important issues facing us all.
