About Our Presentation
Traditionally, the delivery method of choice for projects at the City of Anaheim has been Design-Bid-Build (DBB). In this traditional method of delivery, the City contracted with separate entities for the design and construction of each project.
Recently, however, the City has successfully used the Design-Build (DB) delivery method. Undertaken mainly to save time, the City has found DB to be useful for many additional reasons.
And now that the City has a few DB projects under its belt, the City is venturing into using DB more often. This cultural change towards DB has been brought about largely by the City’s success, but also as Staff has gained experience with it they’ve become more open to DB’s benefits.
At present, Anaheim Public Utilities is constructing its Groundwater Treatment Program via DB, and recently began implementing pipeline projects using DB through master agreements.
So join us, April 21, for an informative look at the history of the City’s DB projects, a look ahead at what plans they have to implement DB in the future, and a brief overview of the lessons learned.
Make reservations now to attend. We’re certain you’ll want to know if Design-Build could be in your future.
